Q. What is the Marine Corps League?
A. The Marine Corps League was founded by Major General Commandant, John A. Lejeune, in 1923 and chartered by an Act of Congress on August 4, 1937. Its membership of nearly 65,000 is comprised of honorably discharged Marine Veterans, Active Duty, Retired and Reserve Marines and Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsmen with 90 days of service or more.  It includes officer, enlisted, male and female members.

Q. How much of my donation goes to the Marines helping Marines program?
A. 100% of your donation goes to the Marines Helping Marines Program. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit volunteer organization and no one receives compensation of any kind.


Q. Is my donation tax deductible?
A. Donations to the Marine Helping Marines are generally tax deductible but check with your tax advisor


Q. I would like to make a corporate donation but will need a copy of your 
501( c ) 3. How may I obtain one ?
A. You may down load it from our web site or send a request to MHM P.O. Box 141 Westminster, MD 21158


Q. My company would like to make a large donation, is there a limit?
A. No. Persons or Corporations wishing to donate $5000.00 or more must included their Federal tax ID


Q. What will my donation be used for?
A. Funds are to be used in support of injured Marine Corps personnel and Navy FMF Corpsman returning from the war on terror in the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts.


Q. My school would like to send get-well cards and letters, where do we send them?
A. The Marines appreciates cards and letters of encouragement. You may send them to A WOUNDED MARINE   P.O. BOX 141  Westminster, MD 21158.


Q. Can I visit the wounded Marines with you?
A.  Sorry no.   We are only authorized to take members of the Marine Corps League into the hospital.


Q. How long are the Marines in the Hospital and where do they go after they are discharged?
A. Normally until they are stabilized enough to be transferred to a VA Hospital in their hometown or to return to their duty stations.


Q.  I’m not a Marine and there are no Marines in my family, can I still make a donation?
